  1. Setting up the BBS:
  2. -------------------

  4. Just copy \PREHELL to any drive of your harddisk. There doesn't need to be
  5. much space left. A small BBS with up to 50 users generally won't need
  6. more than 10-20 megabytes for the BBS-data, user and mail-files.
  7.  
  8. You must have HSMODEM installed to have the BBS work!!
  9.  
  10. For file-transfers you have to get a transfer module like GSZRZ!
  11.  
  12. There is already one user set up:  Name: Sysop Password: Sysop
  13. Change this password as soon as possible...

  15. These are the files in \PREHELL\ which can be changed:

  18. F_AREAS.BBS    ->the file-areas
  19. M_AREAS.BBS    ->the message-areas
  20. MENUS.BBS    ->the BBS-menus
  21. LOGIN.SCR    ->BBS script executed at login
  22. CARRLOST.SCR    ->BBS script executed at unexpected hangups
  23. HELL'S.INF    ->The setup file for the BBS!!

  25. Help for these files can be found in AREAS.HLP, MENUS.HLP, SCRIPTS.HLP 
  26. and HELL'S.HLP. The help files are in the folder DOCS.

  29. These are files in the language-directories which can be changed:

  34. NEW_USER.BBS    ->This is the text which will be mailed to each new user!
